Hardware/Software Engineer
POSITION: Hardware/Software Engineering
Kessler-Ellis (KEP) is searching for a dynamic, self motivated hardware/ Software Engineer responsible for research, design and development of software and hardware in conjunction with hardware product development.Â
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understanding of hardware/software interactions and timing issues
- Familiarity with RS-232, RS-485, USB
- Need fundamental understanding of Analog & digital circuit design and schematic capture
- Experience with Assembly, C, C++, TCPIP
- Analyzes Hardware / Software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
- Functions as Project Manager when assigned
- Performs other task as required
- Performs the duties of the position according to documented procedures and work instructions
- Communication skills verbally and written, Self starter and work independently.

- Bachelor’s of Science Engineering degree plus several years hardware/software experience with embedded controller based design.
- Experience with with Assembly, C, C++, TCPIP
- Texas Instrument MPS-430 Microcontroller experience required

Assembler
POSITION: Production Assembler
Kessler-Ellis Products (KEP) is searching for a dynamic, self motivated Production Assembler responsible for assembling electromechanical/electronic components, subassemblies, customer level assemblies. Ability to decipher component values such as resistors, diodes, capacitors, etc. Ability to work on all product lines is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- With help, able to understand work orders, drawings, samples, work instructions, etc.
- Assembles components based on work instructions, assembly drawings and knowledge of the product line.
- Installs finished assemblies in cases or cabinets.
- Supply hardware and instruction manual with product as needed.
- Performs intermediate assembly tasks such as soldering, stamping, siliconing, gluing, labeling and curing.
- Maintain log of all S/N’s released to quality control.
- Maintain routing info. of customer orders in the computer system.
- Programs firmware according to specifications called out in the Software Masterlist.
- Performs other tasks as required.

Electronic Technician
POSITION:Â Electronic/QC Technician
Kessler-Ellis Products (KEP) is searching for a dynamic, self motivated Electronic Technition responsible for performing testing and component level repair operations for in-house and customer returned electromechanical and/or electronic units.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs incoming, in-processs & final inspection and testing of subassemblies and finished products.
- Identify and follow-up recurring quality problems and recommend design or other improvements to correct such problems.
- Examines parts for defects such as missing or wrong components, soldering flaws, chips, scratches, holes, etc.
- Examines documents to ensure that all assembly, inspecting, and testing steps were performed according to specifications.
- Records inspection data such as serial number, type and percent of defects, and rework required.
- Resolders broken connections and soldering defects on components and parts.
- Performs functional and operational tests, using electronic test equipment such as frequency meter, oscilloscope, and signal generator, etc.
- Responds to company personnel regarding technical problems.
- Receives customer calls to resolve product and application problems and to coordinate the repairs of non-warranty and warranty products.
- Performs the duties of the position according to documented Procedures and Work Instructions.
